Elevator shafts are the areas that are at the lowest level of the building foundation and are most exposed to groundwater. For this reason, in a waterproofing problem originating from the building foundation, the first problem we encounter is the waterproofing problem experienced in the elevator shafts. Elevator shaft waterproofing should be done with injection or crystallized waterproofing methods, which we call negative insulation.
